After graduating from the University of Denver in 1998, Nevie returned to Austin, formed a partnership with fellow filmmaker Buckner Cooke as Red Frame Productions. For four years, Nevie honed her skills as an assistant editor to Sandra Adair on many projects including Rolling Kansas, Academy Award nominated Before Sunset and an untitled Richard Linklater football documentary. Her work as a feature editor on Jumping Off Bridges and Burned has screened at festivals throughout the world. Additionally, Nevie just completed the much anticipated feature documentary, The Spirit Molecule. Nevie's directorial debut, Mexiphobia, wrapped up in 2008. Due to the recent Arizona immigration policy, Mexiphobia has experienced a resurgence of interest, at home and abroad. Other creative works such as the digital short “Roberta Wells” can be found on the “2004 Best of Slamdance” DVD; and the Willie Nelson music video “Big Boodie” aired nationally on CMT.
